The Parenting Challenge

Based on needs in our projects, Help a Child designed a method called ‘The Parenting Challenge’. It is a method to improve the knowledge and skills of parents. The goal of the Parenting Challenge is to improve the parenting skills of mothers, fathers and other caretakers, so that they can provide adequate and relevant support to their children. In this group-based method, parents are actively involved in discussions, exercises and group-work and are sharing their thoughts and ideas. The role of the facilitator is to lead the discussion, instead of teaching.
